Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, you will develop command and control (C2) ground and mission control software for autonomous air vehicle platforms. You will manage the entire technology development lifecycle, including requirement generation, software design, coding, testing, integration, and flight testing.
Integration activities involve host systems such as live assets, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that encompass constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
- Experience in C, C++, or Lua
- Experience with Windows or Linux development
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
Skills:
- Agile software development experience
- Agile process tools (Jira)
- Configuration management systems (e.g., Git)
- Dev Ops experience (Git Lab)
- Python programming experience
- Experience developing software for safety‑critical systems
- Knowledge of networking and internet protocols: IP, TCP/UDP, RTP, TLS
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Cpp Unit
- Experience building custom Linux distributions with Yocto
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with service‑based application development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a Secret level security clearance. The position is onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility with occasional travel up to 10%.
