Intramural Sports Supervisor- PT Student

In addition to their role as an Intramural Sports Official, Intramural Sports Supervisors will be responsible for the overall supervision of the daily Intramural contests. This includes supervising the games, special events, various facilities, and Recreation programs student staff. This position requires leadership, critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently. Supervisors must work constructively and collaborate with the game officials and participants.

Supervisors are expected to maintain an awareness of potential problems while creating a competitive yet sociable atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to intramural sport officials and participants.
• Responsible for the set up and break down of all intramural sport recreational program activities.
• Assist the Coordinator for Campus Recreation with the day-to-day operations of the program.
• Sign in participants before and during intramural contests and events and ensure player eligibility.
• Accurately update and submit game scores and sportsmanship ratings.
• Carry out appropriate action for injuries and other incidents.
• Know and enforce rules and regulations according to the Intramural Sports employee manual, participant handbook, and sport rules.
• Attend and assist in leading all staff and sport-specific training's.
• Strong verbal communications and conflict resolution skills.
• Display professionalism at all times.
• Helping promote events and programs using marketing strategies on campus.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a current Life University student.
• Must obtain CPR/AED certification during beginning weeks of employment.
• Attend mandatory supervisor meetings and training's.
• Previous Intramural experience is required.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
