• Lifeguard – $16.43/hour
• Swim Instructor – $16.43/hour

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5:45am - 12:00pm
• Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm
• Saturday & Sunday 6:45am - 12:00pm

Monday - Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm (ideal work schedule); flexibility on hours

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• HS/GED with some college preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience as a swim instructor and lifeguard.
• Minimum one year in a supervisory role.
• Current First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.

• Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
• Lifeguards: Must have a valid lifeguard certification (within 30 days of hire) and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
• Be able to pass the CDYMCA swim test, as administered by the Aquatic Director or designated individual
• Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
• Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration (completed within 30 days of hire)
• New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
