The Delivery & Operations Associate plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely product delivery to customers while supporting day-to-day branch operations. This position is responsible for coordinating & completing deliveries, handling order entry and billing, supporting warehouse and retail operations, and assisting with inter-branch inventory & equipment transfers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable performing physical work in a fast-paced environment.
This position operates within a normal M-F work schedule.
- Operate a company-provided delivery van for local deliveries; no CDL or operation of large commercial vehicles required.
- Safely load, transport, and deliver products to customer offices, warehouses, and jobsites
- Plan and manage daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring product protection and accuracy
- Organize and stage delivered materials in customer warehouses & storerooms when required
- Complete inter-branch inventory & equipment transfers as needed
- Enter sales orders and process billing accurately within the ERP system
- Pick, pull, and prepare inventory for customer orders
- Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and general warehouse organization
- Support retail showroom stocking, organization, presentation
- Assist branch team with front counter coverage as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and delivery environment
- Other tasks as required by management
- Serve as a professional, customer-facing representative of Duncan-Parnell
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding deliveries, questions, and basic order support
- Provide sales and service support by identifying issues and escalating when appropriate
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Customer-focused, professional demeanor
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks regularly
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory DMV record (must meet company insurance requirements)
- Ability to safely operate a forklift to load & unload trucks and stock warehouse
- Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel)
