Local CDL A or B Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS is responsible for safe, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, inventory verification, safety protocol adherence, and maintaining high service standards to support operational efficiency and foster strong customer relationships.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy to ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards and collaborate with customers for material placement.
• Document deliveries with photos as per company policy.
• Load and unload materials, up to 100 lbs, using forklifts or manually in varied weather and noisy environments.
• Read job‑related documents in English and communicate effectively with team and customers.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean driving record.
• Operate forklifts or equivalent equipment safely during loading/unloading.

• Valid CDL Class A or B with Air Brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• 1‑2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Physically capable of driving long hours and handling materials up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to operate forklifts (or equivalent) safely.
• Must be 18+ years old (21+ for interstate/hazmat). Must pass background checks, drug tests, and E‑Verify.
• Successful verification via the FMCSA’s Clearinghouse.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries and fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Multilingual abilities for customer communication.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration – Required.

Drivers manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. The role involves safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support.
