Environmental Safety & Health Manager - Level 5

Basic Qualifications

• Proven ESH background in an industrial environment with strong business acumen and operations knowledge
• Experience developing and maintaining ESH programs in compliance with key regulations
• Knowledge of and experience with ESH management system elements, such as ISO 14001/45001 and/or OSHA VPP
• Ability to plan and execute data analysis in support of tactical and strategic decision making
• Experience leading organizational change and strategies

• Provide direction and support daily operations for ESH professionals at the Marietta site and two smaller locations in MS and WV
• Promote the ESH culture by driving various ESH performance improvement initiatives and employee engagement activities
• Build effective relationships and trust with key stakeholders and business partners, thereby driving program enhancements
• Experience leading ESH strategy and major initiatives including Target Zero, Go Green and ISO 14001
• Manage the site’s ESH management system elements and support development and reporting of metrics and performance data
• Assure compliance with applicable ESH regulatory, corporate, and customer requirements
• Ability to develop new and innovative methods to increase employee awareness and engagement in compliance programs/initiatives
• Support management of the ESH organization’s expense and capital budgets
• Coordinate with other Aero locations and represent the facility in working groups or new initiatives
• Support a multidisciplinary workers compensation team including a robust return to work program

• Knowledge of and experience with ESH management system elements, such as ISO 14001/45001
• Understanding of union environments and collective bargaining agreements
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, across levels of the organization
• Proficient with computer‑based tools and applications (Microsoft Office business programs)
• Ability to make difficult decisions, solve complex issues and influence ESH cultural improvement
• Ability to respond to internal and external issues to maintain regulatory compliance and enhance the employee experience
• Experience authoring command media and program documentation
• Experience in change management and planning activities as they relate to ESH integration and considerations
• Demonstrated management experience and oversight of budget elements, including both overhead and capital expenditures
• Professional Certification/Lean Six Sigma green or black belt or other continuous improvement tools and techniques knowledge, including thorough root cause analysis and mistake‑proofing processes
