POSITION SUMMARY
The Nurse Coordinator RN is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all clinical support activities in the Practice and for providing professional clinical assistance to patients within the practice supporting the physicians. Working directly with the physicians, the Nurse Coordinator is the liaison between the patient and the physicians for establishing and maintaining quality patient care and will perform all duties in accordance with clinic protocols and procedures.
Routine duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Vaccine/Injection Administration
- Infusions
- Phlebotomy
- PICC line management
- Diabetes Education / Training
- Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs)
- Anemia Management
- Clinical Staff Training and Maintenance of Competencies
- Insurance authorization (Medications/Procedures)
Utilize clinical teamwork to oversee the interdisciplinary plan of care: assess the patient and family as appropriate, plan and implement clinical care, and facilitate its delivery to patients and family members; evaluate the process and outcome of clinical services in the practice and make suggestions for improvement. Document according to practice policies and procedures. Practice and promote professional clinical care within legal and ethical standards.
Provide education/consultation as needed to other health care team members and to patients and families. Assist with determining appropriate staffing levels and recruitment efforts for new clinical staff. Assist with evaluating clinical staff performance and completion of performance evaluations. Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures. Maintain adequate medical supply and pharmaceutical inventory and assist in placing orders as necessary.
As a member of clinic management, ensure that the practice meets all code and accreditation standards (OSHA, DPH, JCAHO, CLIA, HIPAA). Administer vaccinations and injections, infusions, and biologics. Triage telephone calls and schedule urgent care appointments. Maintain frequent contact with outside providers and agencies to facilitate and coordinate patient care. Maintain professional license through practice‑based continuing education programs. Perform other related duties as directed.

Compensation Range: $33.41 – $48.56 per hour. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. The base pay is comprehensive and considers factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications/licensures, business and organizational needs, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
