Shift: Mon-Friday 8:30A-5P Rot Sat 8:30A-5P Job Overview:
The PSR II serves as the face of the company to patients, assisting them during routine visits or life-defining health decisions. Responsibilities include drawing blood, preparing specimens for lab testing, and creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures. The role requires skillful, safe, and accurate specimen collection, leadership behaviors, and strict attention to confidentiality and patient information accuracy.
Assignments may vary between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as business needs dictate.
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe and professional environment at all times.
Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established practices and procedures.
Verify patient demographic information, obtain initials/signatures post-venipuncture, and ensure tubes are labeled correctly in the patient’s presence.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Work independently with minimal supervision when needed.
Demonstrate superior customer service and communicate openly with peers, supervisors, and patients.
Flexibly cover multiple locations including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
Adhere to company policies, including dress code, employee health & safety, and Everyday Excellence guiding principles.
Phlebotomy skills including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Flexible and reliable, with transportation and valid driver’s license.
Strong ability to accelerate and embrace change.
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA)
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
