Job Description
Supervisor, 1st Shift
What you will do:The Production Supervisor is accountable for directing the activities of a work team to meet daily production schedules in the assembly/fabrication of sub-assemblies, parts, or units within an assigned area while upholding a strong commitment to production goals, efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:Manages the production employees functions in assigned work areas to assure support of all components of manufacturing required to meet the needs and requirements of internal and external customers with established specifications with scheduled completion dates. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the team achieves goals in safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Works closely with other departments as well as coordinating activities across all shifts.
Handles administrative tasks as necessary such as payroll, vacation management, production reporting, small projects, etc.
This position requires an Associate’s degree and five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment. In the absence of a 2-year degree in an appropriate field of study, formal certification a total of eight (8) to ten (10) years of related experience is required. Normal mechanical and analytical ability is needed as well as good communication skills.
HIRING SALARY RANGE:$60, (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
