Travel Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Optum On‑Site is seeking a Travel Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Waupaca and Marinette, WI. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care team, you’ll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.

This role is primarily on‑site, covering providers while they’re on PTO or completing CEUs. Mileage reimbursement is provided based on state requirements and if travel to a site assignment requires an overnight stay, hotel and car rental are provided. Schedules are thoughtfully planned to reduce excessive travel and avoid regular back‑and‑forth between Waupaca and Willamette. Clinic locations and hours for each site are below.

Waupaca Foundry: N2610 WI-22, Waupaca, WI 54981

Mon‑Thurs: 7 a.m.–6 p.m. & Friday: 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

Marinette Foundry: 3900 Hall Ave, Marinette, WI 54143

Mon‑Tues and Thurs‑Fri: 7 a.m.–5 p.m.

• Wellness and Preventative Physical Exams
• Acute care of minor illness and injuries
• Chronic Disease Management and Longitudinal care
• Minor procedures (suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.)
• Lifestyle and well‑being counseling
• Medical management of behavioral health conditions

• Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP or certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA
• CPR certified
• 2+ years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant providing services in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency, or urgent care setting

• 2+ years of clinical experience in primary care or family medicine setting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.09 to $78.70 per hour based on full‑time employment.
