Sprinkler System Technician

• Job duties:
  
  Installation of residential and commercial in‑ground sprinkler systems. System start‑ups in spring and winterization in the fall; servicing existing systems throughout the year.
• Qualifications:
  
  Previous experience installing and servicing irrigation systems is desired. Must be a self‑motivated worker with a positive attitude. Must have a valid driver’s license.

  Crews install landscapes and hardscapes. Landscaping experience and ability to operate machinery desired. Looking for self‑motivated individuals with a positive attitude. Higher wages are available based on experience.

  Lawn and Landscape maintenance of commercial and residential accounts; mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, aerating, de‑thatching, and spring and fall clean‑ups, etc.
• Qualifications:
  
  Self‑motivated individuals with positive attitudes! Previous experience in professional lawn maintenance desired. Familiarity with power equipment and mowers, along with plant and turf knowledge would be a plus. Prefer applicants who will be willing to train for certification in herbicide application; we will assist in acquiring licensing. Looking for workers who are willing to transition into snow removal for the winter months.

• Plant care duties:
  Must have knowledge of all plant material which includes: annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees. Must be able to maintain said plants by watering, pruning, trimming, and relocating, and/or replenishing plants due to sales. Provide accurate information about the plants and other merchandise to customers. Be capable and willing to learn how to safely operate a bobcat/loader; including entering/exiting and operating equipment safely.
  
  Load purchased material for customers into their vehicles such as stone, mulch, soil, and other plant material. This includes wrapping the canopies of trees and securing the trees properly for travel. Should be able to lift and hang flower baskets over head, and lift and load urns and baskets in customers vehicles as well. Creativity a must; move tables, stands and display items in a manner which appeals to our customers.
  
  Will also need to be able to organize material and advertise specials/sales within the retail center. Must be comfortable with operating POS system and handling money.
• Additional qualifications:
  
  Plant knowledge mandatory, sales experience desired; must have excellent people and communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must have a valid driver’s license.

• De‑icing and removal of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties.
• Safely use snow removal equipment such as shovels, snow blowers, skid steers, loaders, vehicles with plow blades, and other power and manually operated tools and equipment used to perform snow‑removal.
• Perform highly physical work in all weather conditions, specifically very cold, icy, snowy weather.
• Work as part of a team and take direction.
• Schedule is part time and on call. Employees will have the opportunity to transition into the landscape season, full time, on either a landscape crew, maintenance crew, or at our retail center.
