Pipefitter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Overview

Responsible for removing, repairing, targeting, laying out, fabricating, installing, and testing marine piping systems including auxiliary salt water, fire main, potable water, hydraulic, compressed air, fuel oil, lube oil, engine exhaust, and related systems in accordance with work item specifications, military standards, drawings, and other regulatory standards such as ABS and Military Sealift Command.

• Remove, repair, lay out, fabricate, install, and test marine piping systems and associated components as specified.
• Work with auxiliary salt water, fire main, potable water, hydraulic, compressed air, fuel oil, lube oil, engine exhaust, and other system components per drawings and standards.
• Utilize shop equipment and tooling such as table saws, pipe threading machines, bending machines, drill presses, and brazing equipment as part of fabrication and repair activities.
• Perform blanking and pressure testing of tanks as part of quality control and safety procedures.
