Position OverviewThe Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to be a lead worker and perform complex, confidential, specialized administrative, secretarial and office support duties, record and document processing, exercising independent judgment, for the Office of Immunizations, Emergency Medical Services and back up to the Administrative Law Judge. Performs specialized assignments keyboarding correspondence, forms and reports.

- Serves as a designated lead worker of lower level support staff engaged in complex, specialized clerical and paraprofessional/technical work.
- Assists Regional Health Officer with management of the regional office.
- Serves as LAN Administrator for the regional office PC network.
- Directs and coordinates regional personnel transactions with Central Office for employee job and benefits including new employee orientation and annual and/or periodic staff benefits training.
- Makes the administrative arrangements for Long‑Term Care hearings.
- Directs and coordinates the control, assignment, maintenance and inventory of all regional property, equipment, including regional vehicles, supplies, telecommunication system and building maintenance.
- Performs other duties as required as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
