Duties
Licensure Specialist
* Maintain accurate, confidential licensure records (digital and physical)
* Track deadlines for renewals, registrations, and approvals
* Manage licensure data using ISBE systems (e.g., ELIS) and internal tools
* Prepare reports on licensure status, compliance, and regional trends
* Coordinate licensure workflows, including transcripts, applications, and approvals
* Ensure compliance with ISBE and local documentation standards
* Update internal procedures and licensure guidance as needed
* Serve as the primary contact for licensure questions and support
* Provide clear, timely guidance on requirements, applications, and renewals
* Train and support staff on licensure procedures and systems
* Communicate ISBE updates through meetings and ongoing communications
* Assist with troubleshooting licensure issues and application concerns
* Coordinate with ISBE to resolve complex licensure matters
Professional Learning Coordination
* Support planning and coordination of professional development opportunities
* Manage training logistics, including scheduling, registration, and communication
* Assist in developing and organizing learning materials and resources
* Collaborate with team members to enhance the quality and delivery of professional learning
Qualifications
* Strong organizational, time-management, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in office management tools (e.g., G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office equipment.
* Ability to multitask, handle sensitive information with discretion, and solve problems independently.
* Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* Reliable attendance with a proven track record of punctuality and commitment to regular, consistent work performance.
* The work hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The schedule is subject to change with ROE demands. Overtime is required when requested.
Salary/Benefits
This is a 12-month position offering a salary of $35,000-$45,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to the competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package.
