VA Contract | High-Acuity Transport | 12-Hour Shifts (Days & Nights)

We are a private ambulance service expanding rapidly in Southern Illinois, and we are building a team of Critical Care Paramedics who can operate at a higher level. This is a role for professionals who are confident in their skills, comfortable with responsibility, and motivated by meaningful work.
You will be providing advanced, critical care transport for veterans—patients who deserve precision, respect, and clinical excellence every time.

Compensation
- $28 – $36 per hour, depending on experience and certifications
- Additional Health & Welfare wage of $5.09/hour (up to 80 hours per pay period)

- Manage ventilators, IV pumps, and advanced pharmacological interventions
- Deliver ICU-level care during interfacility transport
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff and receiving facilities
- Maintain accurate, professional documentation
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Paramedic license (Illinois or ability to obtain)
- Critical Care certification (CCP-C or FP-C) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong ALS experience; critical care or high-acuity background highly valued
- Ability to perform under pressure without compromising care standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and carry patients and equipment up to 150+ lbs with assistance
- Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, and prolonged standing
- Ability to safely load and unload stretchers and equipment
- Work in varied environments including confined spaces and adverse weather
- Maintain stamina and focus during 12-hour shifts
