General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is looking for an entry‑level MCA Operator (Production Operator) at its Marion, IL facility. The role is part of the Load, Assemble and Pack (LAP) line, requiring the ability to keep a constant pace, perform visual inspections, and support overall production quality.

This position is available full time and requires working all shifts and overtime as needed.

• Work all shifts and overtime as required.
• Package finished products and prepare them for shipment.
• Perform assembly line tasks in a manufacturing setting.
• Ensure the production line runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Inspect assembled products to verify they meet quality standards and spot any defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
• Apply previous experience in assembly and packing as a plus.

Required:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience.

Preferred:

• Production experience (assembly and packing).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with supervision and fellow employees.
• Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety signs and instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pre‑employment background and medical screening will be required if selected for hire.
• Work all shifts and overtime as required.

$28.57 - $31.57 per hour.

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
