• Required Certs:
  Current active IL RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  Two years of strong Med Surg/TELE, 1 travel assignment, Neuro experience required.
• Charting
  
  Experience:
  
  Recent EPIC experience required.
• Patient Population:
  Neuro and Neuro‑Surgical patients (CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram, general medical).
• Skillset:
  Comfortable taking medical overflow patients; NIHSS/dysphagia screen; strong Neuro assessments; basic tele interpretation; strict Is & Os, straight cath, Foley; initate/titrate heparin gtts.; blood/blood product administration; venipuncture; blood cultures; NG tubes; indwelling drain management; stable gtts. (e.g., Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Unit Information: 22 bed Neuro unit, 1:4 ratio;
  Charge nurse will have patient assignment.
• Hard worker, resilient, manages change well, social candidates.
