Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.32 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn shop locations nationwide. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service for both lending and retail operations. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service and assistance with inquiries.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items following company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Completes assigned training.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in basic math calculations.
- Preferred cash‑handling experience.
- Flexible to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Availability for a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate point‑of‑sale systems and common office machines.
The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn between 2% and 8% commission, based on their personal performance. Details will be provided during the interview process.
