Essential Functions

  • Conduct daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair all major systems on compact equipment, emphasizing the Bobcat line.
  • Perform system rebuilds and overhauls.
  • Conduct welding work as needed.
  • Work effectively with all company levels – Parts, Service, Sales, Rental.
  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment service operations (e.g., skid steers, excavators).
  • Strong mechanical background with excellent diagnostics skills in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, organized, and energetic.
  • Capable of staying calm under pressure with multiple ongoing projects.
  • Good computer skills.
Work Environment

During the performance of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and various extreme conditions while working indoors and outdoors. The noise level can be loud.

Physical Requirements
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, lay, crawl, and climb throughout the day.
  • Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 lbs.
  • Perform tasks requiring strain on muscles, joints, and tendons in arms, chest, shoulders, and back.
  • Meet vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
