Salary Range: $19.00 To $20.00 Hourly
General FunctionsPerforms body work and painting as assigned on all fleet equipment and vehicles.
Reporting RelationshipsReports To: Fleet Foreman
Supervises: None
- Perform tasks such as removing decals, replacing damaged door panels on trailers, and sanding fleet vehicles.
- Repair all types of body damage to both fiberglass and metal body parts and accessories.
- Perform welding on both aluminum and steel components.
- Fabricate metal parts as required.
- Keep the Parts Room informed of body and paint supply inventory levels on a weekly basis.
- Handle all body and paint materials in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain daily cleanliness of the work area, including floors, walls, tabletops, equipment, overhead doors, etc.
- Work safely at all times and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
- Perform other service duties as assigned and deemed necessary by the Fleet Foreman.
- Daily interaction with all Fleet personnel.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous body shop, collision repair, or painting experience preferred.
- Experience with fiberglass repair, metal repair, and welding techniques.
- Ability to safely operate body shop tools and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of painting and refinishing procedures.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment as needed.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and shop conditions.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
Work is performed in a fleet maintenance shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, paint materials, welding equipment, and moving machinery. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
