Complete CDL training to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) through Republic Services' training program, including classroom study, on-route training, driving experience, and access to a loaner truck.;
After CDL attainment, perform the responsibilities of a Driver in one of Republic Services' lines of business (Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off).;
Learn to perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure tires, fluids, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.;
Read route sheets, follow maps, service customers on the route as assigned by dispatcher/supervisor.;
Operate heavy or commercial trucks and load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at designated facilities; identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them accordingly.
