Summary of Position: This position will support the Controller’s Office in various financial areas with a focus on providing leadership for accounts payable for the university. It will be responsible for assisting university departments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and providing support regarding policy, procedures, and best practices to ensure solid financial controls and prudent stewardship of university resources.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the Accounts Payable financial function of IWU
- Responsible for all accounts payable related activity including but not limited to the following:
- Invoice Payment Processing
- Vendor Maintenance
- Document Imaging and Retention
- Independent Contractor Determinations
- IRS 1099 and 1042-S Processing
- Purchasing Card Administration
- Support the Controller’s Office in financial management of IWU in areas such as general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or other financial areas
- Assist the Controller’s Office with adherence to GAAP, IRS regulations, university policies and procedures, and other governmental reporting
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures and ensure best industry standards while maintaining internal controls
- Other duties as assigned
- Manage and implement technology systems to streamline procurement and accounts payable processes

Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of financial management or related experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong team building and management skills
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
