Miller Pipeline is hiring hardworking Laborers to work on our underground utility crews throughout the state of Indiana.
Main Responsibilities:- Installing water and gas mains.
- Installing water services, valves, and hydrants.
- Excavation and trench work.
- Pipe laying and general labor.
- Site cleanup and restoration.
- Lifting and operating small tools, objects,and construction equipment of varying weight.
- Compress soil and asphalt.
- Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
- Operate vehicles used for hauling.
- Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
- Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
- Travel within the state of Indiana for work assignments.
- High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- Strong work ethic, ability to work in a team environment and arrive on time.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.
- 1+ yearof construction or underground utility experience.
- Class A CDL.
