Cabinet product and estimating training will be provided. The ideal candidate will bring strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, customer communication skills, learning agility, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Review architectural drawings, cabinet layouts, elevations, specifications, scopes of work, and customer requests to identify project requirements.
  • Perform cabinet takeoffs and determine cabinet types, sizes, quantities, accessories, panels, trim, hardware, and related materials.
  • Prepare and revise accurate estimates, quotations, and supporting documentation in accordance with company pricing, margin, and documentation standards.
  • Provide inside sales support by following up on open quotes, contractor leads, customer inquiries, and pending approvals to help move opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate quote, lead, follow-up, customer contact, and opportunity status information in company systems, CRM tools, spreadsheets, or shared trackers.
  • Verify measurements, product selections, finishes, delivery requirements, assumptions, exclusions, and customer approvals before quotations or orders are released.
  • Identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information and obtain clarification from contractors, customers, or internal stakeholders.
  • Review customer purchase orders against approved quotations and resolve discrepancies before order entry or release.
  • Convert approved quotations and customer purchase orders into accurate cabinet orders, ensuring products, finishes, quantities, pricing, ship-to details, and delivery requirements are complete before release.
  • Coordinate order entry, order changes, additions, shortages, replacements, and other project requirements through completion.
  • Maintain current product, pricing, freight, lead-time, estimating, order, and project information in company systems and files.
  • Maintain project schedules and monitor critical milestones, including quote follow-up, approvals, order release, manufacturing, and delivery.
  • Provide proactive updates when schedules, requirements, commitments, approvals, or delivery plans change.
  • Coordinate delivery dates with customers, contractors, operations, and transportation personnel, confirming job-site readiness before dispatch.
  • Verify delivery address, site contact, access restrictions, unloading requirements, staging location, delivery sequence, and required equipment.
  • Sequence deliveries by project phase, building, unit, floor, or installation schedule when required.
  • Assist with resolving shortages, damage, incorrect material, failed deliveries, and other delivery-related issues.
  • Balance customer service needs with sales follow-up, production capacity, inventory availability, and transportation efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of experience in construction, building materials, manufacturing, customer service, project coordination, logistics, inside sales, or a related environment.
  • Strong mathematical, numerical, and spatial-reasoning ability.
  • Ability to read dimensions and learn to interpret plans, elevations, schedules, and specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and common business systems.
  • Ability to organize multiple active projects, prioritize work, and meet firm deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if job-site visits are required.
