Formative evaluations conducted throughout the school year in alignment with Marion Community Schools performance procedures. Annual summative evaluation completed prior to July 1.
The Marion Next Gen Systems Lead is responsible for designing, aligning, and sustaining the core instructional and engagement systems of the Marion Next Gen Transformation Zone across Justice Marshall Intermediate School and McCulloch Junior High School. This role ensures clarity, coherence, and urgency in the implementation of grant‑aligned systems that support academic acceleration, student engagement and leadership, and AI‑supported professional learning.
The Systems Lead works in close collaboration with building principals, the District Lead, and EES Innovation (Expert Partner) to co‑own system design, monitor fidelity, and ensure sustainability beyond the grant cycle. This position exists to ensure that systems are clearly defined, consistently implemented, and embedded into daily practice across both buildings. Classified as Confidential Employee Functional responsibilities or knowledge related to district initiatives, grant implementation, and personnel support require strict adherence to confidentiality.
- Valid Indiana teaching license or appropriate educational credential
- Demonstrated experience supporting instructional or organizational systems within a school or district setting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex initiatives
- Strong student‑centered decision‑making orientation is a must
- Preferred, but not required:
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field - Experience supporting school redesign, grant‑funded initiatives, or multi‑building alignment work
- Design, document, and maintain shared instructional, engagement, and professional learning systems across both Justice and Mc Culloch
- Ensure system alignment across all three innovation pillars:
- Academic Acceleration (Literacy Studios, Math Labs, Tier 1 instruction)
- Student Engagement and Leadership (Leader Labs, Exploration Blocks)
- AI‑supported PLC and feedback systems
- Provide coordination of the work to be done by Marion Next Gen Systems Specialists
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to co‑own system design, implementation, and refinement
- Work in ongoing partnership with the District Lead and EES Innovation to ensure grant alignment and sustainability
- Develop and maintain system documentation, tools, protocols, and implementation guides
- Monitor system fidelity across both buildings and identify areas for refinement
- Support clarity of expectations for staff through communication, documentation, and aligned structures
- Balance system expectations with adult capacity through consistent communication and collaboration
- Ensure systems are designed to remain operational and effective beyond the grant cycle
- Participate in district‑ and building‑level leadership meetings as required
- Present to ETT when requested by District Lead on various topics
- Perform other duties as assigned by the District Lead
- Support cross‑building communication related to transformation initiatives
