Dean of Faculty

Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University is a theologically and culturally diverse academic and ministerial learning community committed to Kingdom diversity, both women and men in ministry, and spiritual formation. This is a full-time on-site position located in Marion, IN. The Dean of Faculty will oversee the academic programs and faculty at Wesley Seminary, ensuring academic excellence and fostering an inclusive learning environment. Key responsibilities include providing leadership in curriculum development, managing faculty recruitment and professional development, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. The Dean will also work closely with institutional leadership to advance the Seminary’s mission and strategic goals.

• Strong leadership and administrative skills, including the ability to manage faculty teams and develop academic programs.
• Experience in higher education teaching and scholarly work.
• Proficiency in areas such as curriculum development, accreditation processes, and academic planning.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusivity, with a demonstrated ability to engage diverse communities and perspectives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration among faculty and staff.
• A deep understanding of theological education and a commitment to the mission of Wesley Seminary.
• An advanced degree in theology, divinity, or a related field (PhD or equivalent preferred).
• Experience in ministry leadership is highly valued.
