Adjunct Faculty ESL

Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, IN – Adjunct/Part‑Time

Adjunct faculty are essential to providing a quality academic experience for Indiana Wesleyan University students. Adjuncts will employ a range of engaging teaching strategies designed to foster student learning and stimulate class discussion. Applicants must have appropriate academic or professional experience within the given academic discipline, demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning, and be able to integrate their Christian faith into the classroom content.

• Attend and lead all required class sessions
• Promptly assess student coursework and submit via Brightspace (the university’s learning management system)
• Coordinate with Division Chair and/or Academic Dean regarding classroom or student issues in a timely manner

• Strong Christian commitment and adherence to the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement

• Master of Arts in ESL or related field

• Teaching experience at the collegiate level is highly desired

• Excellence in knowledge and skills in relation to the appropriate field(s)
• Competence in teaching ability, along with an eagerness to improve
• Strong testimony of personal faith and commitment to Christ, and agreement to live according to the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement
