Summary of Position: The Conference and Event Services Assistant supports the planning and execution of university events by helping prepare event spaces, assisting guests, and ensuring smooth event operations. This part-time position provides excellent customer service while working collaboratively with campus partners to create successful and professional event experiences.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with the set-up, coordination, and teardown of conferences, meetings, special events, and university functions on campus
- Provide exceptional customer service by serving as a point of contact for event attendees, guests, vendors, and campus partners
- Support event logistics, including room configurations, signage placement, and guest way finding
- Monitor event spaces during functions to ensure schedules, facility standards, and client expectations are met
- Perform Administrative Tasks such as updating event records, preparing event materials, and communicating event details to stakeholders
- Maintain a professional and welcoming environment while adhering to university policies, safety procedures, and event service standards
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Event Coordination and Conferencing Experience
- Ability to work independent of others
- Logical thinker and processor
