Facilities Maintenance Assistant

As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant at The Wyndmoor of Marion, a premier assisted living facility in Marion, Indiana, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our community.

As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs to maintain the overall condition of our facility. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment and fixtures

• Responding to maintenance requests from residents, staff, and management

• Identifying and reporting potential safety hazards and taking corrective action

• Collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless resident experience

• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting common areas, appliances, and equipment

  • Painting and repairing walls, doors, and other surfaces

  • Maintaining and repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems

• Respond to maintenance requests from residents, staff, and management in a timely and efficient manner

• Identify and report potential safety hazards and take corrective action

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless resident experience

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

• Perform other duties as assigned by management

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as needed

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
