American Traveler is hiring an experienced Acute Rehab RN for an inpatient hospital position requiring previous travel experience and an active IN or Compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Acute Inpatient Rehab unit of a hospital setting
- Care for patients with endocrine/metabolic, neurological, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary/renal conditions, including CVA cases
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Required to work every other weekend and holiday
- Meditech charting experience preferred
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travelers
- Travel pairs accepted, but must have flexible schedules
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute rehab nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Skills required include blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols, IV therapy, port care and management, feeding tube care and management, swallowing precautions, and foley catheter removal
- Proficiency in fall risk assessment/prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, pain assessment and management, patient teaching, pressure ulcer assessment/prevention, and wound care required
- Professional reference required within the last 12 months from a direct supervisor
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to acute inpatient rehab patients including CVA and other neurological cases
- Past permanent employees of the facility will not be accepted as travelers, no exceptions
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position given the travel experience requirement
