Job Overview

The Cashier is responsible for interacting with customers as they enter and leave the retail store. The primary function is to provide excellent customer service and accurate processing of customer transactions. Hours vary with days, evenings (until 9pm), and a rotating weekend/holiday coverage is required.

Pay Range: $13.00-$14.00, depending on experience.

• Greet customers as they enter the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
• Handle customer transactions utilizing the KCX cash register system.
• Ensure accurate cash handling.
• Price store merchandise as requested by store management.
• Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
• Handle customer returns.

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Long periods of standing.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

• Retail store environment.
• Cold and warm conditions.
• Irregular work schedule.

Computer, calculator, cash register-scanner, telephone, fax, copy machine, computer software and network.
