Job Title: Activities Director
Reports to: Building Principal
Summary: Provides direction and leadership to all coaches and activity sponsors 9-12th.
Responsibilities:
- Set schedules for all activities.
- Hire officials & judges.
- Hire coaches (with principal input).
- Ensure MHS is compliant with all State Guidelines and Regulations.
- Evaluate all coaches (yearly).
- Supervise events (evenings & weekends).
- Lead parent meetings as needed (beginning of season, etc.).
- Assist with review of No Pass No Play as well as Good Conduct implementation.
- Conduct Hall of Fame meetings, organize related celebration.
- Ensure statistics are kept, centralized and accessible.
- Meet with parents, students and coaches as needed.
- Work with Sports and Music Boosters related to providing for MHS activities.
- Serve as liaison to community (youth activities).
- Provide vision and leadership k-12 regarding values, goals and direction of all programs.
Endorsements:
- Iowa Teaching or Counseling License 5-12
- Evaluator Approval or ability to Obtain
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Essential duties must be performed on site. Other duties or tasks may be assigned.
- Develops and implements programming associated with Activities for high school students.
- Supports and implements the district curriculum, standards and benchmarks.
- Assist High School staff with strategies to support and meet students' needs and achievement of academic goals and co‑curricular goals.
- Provides active communication and positive relationships with parents and community members.
- Assists in planning and delivery of social/emotional/behavioral school-wide programming.
- Assists and collaborates with the principal, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to co-curricular activity.
- Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data.
- Meets the 8 Iowa Teaching Standards and 42 criteria on a consistent basis.
- Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
- Assist with the MHS student success program.
- Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Education required. Evaluator approval required.

Ability to effectively write reports and communications to students, colleagues, parents and staff. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals and fractions. - Reasonable Ability:
