** What's a typical day as a Lab Operations Technician? You'll be:*
* + Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes to safely receive, move, and stage materials and equipment.
+ Loading, unloading, and transporting equipment within lab, production, and warehouse environments.
+ Cleaning, calibrating, and preparing equipment for customer rentals, ensuring quality standards are met.
+ Receiving, inspecting, labeling, and organizing incoming materials and test samples.
+ Inspecting returned rental equipment for damage, functionality, and cleanliness; documenting findings and coordinating action.
+ Setting up laboratory equipment for testing procedures, performing routine preventative maintenance, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
+ Maintaining a clean and organized lab environment, ensuring it is always ready for customer tours or demonstrations.
+ Managing inventory of supplies and consumables, restocking as needed to support efficient workflow.
+ Collaborating with laboratory personnel to troubleshoot equipment or procedural issues.
+ Providing professional support and direction to visiting customers, representing the company positively.
+ Documenting and reporting discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to the lab manager.
+ Ensuring compliance with all safety guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
** This job might be an outstanding fit if you:*
* + Have a high school diploma or GED (required).
+ Possess 0-2 years of experience in a lab, manufacturing, warehouse, or technical environment (preferred).
+ Hold strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
+ Are skilled in the safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
+ Can handle multiple priorities with strict deadlines and maintain high standards of professionalism.
+ Are comfortable working from heights (roofs, ladders, powered lifts) and able to frequently move, adjust, and lift objects up to 75 pounds.
+ Are detail-oriented and able to assess the accuracy and thoroughness of work.
+ Can communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers.
+ Will follow safety precautions and wear PPE including safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
+
Experience with global engineering standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, CSA, NFPA, ISO, UL) is preferred.
+ Must be able to see color.
