Diver​/crew member

Underwater Work Diving Services Inc., servicing boats along Buzzards Bay for nearly 20 years providing diving and full mooring services, is looking to add a self-motivated crew member to our small team. Based in Sippican Harbor, Marion, we provide mooring service, hull cleaning, mooring inspection, and emergency diving services. Professional, courteous, and working in a fast-paced environment, we strive to create a strong team effort and take great pride in our work.

This is an active position requiring some physical strength, outdoors, in all types of weather. Situational awareness on the water and vessel experience are required. Applicants must pass Boating Safety Certificate, which may be taken online.

The ideal applicant will have the ability to plan ahead, keep jobs moving forward, as well as occasionally move/lift heavy chain and anchors. Knowledge of ropes and knots, familiarity with the navigable water of western Buzzards Bay, and basic seamanship are a plus.

• Ability to work in the United States
• Ability to competently do physical labor
• Must be comfortable in and on the water

• In-water boat maintenance
• Physical labor in all weather conditions
• Safe and responsible boat helming
• Courteous and friendly demeanor when interacting with customers
• Situational awareness when multitasking on the water
• Organization and safe boating practices

• Knowledge of boating and basic seamanship
• Small engine repair

Base pay is $17/hr however, the pay scale has the ability to increase to reflect the applicant's experience. Position can be either full-time or part-time.
