Room Attendant

My Place Hotel - Marion, Ohio

The Room Attendant plays a key role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests. This position is responsible for maintaining guest rooms and public areas to company standards, ensuring spaces are well‑stocked, sanitized, and ready for occupancy. Attention to detail, reliability, and pride in quality work are essential for success in this role.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Service assigned guest rooms and common areas by thoroughly cleaning all surfaces, floors, and furnishings.
  • Refresh rooms by restocking approved guest supplies such as towels, toiletries, and other required items.
  • Check room features—televisions, remotes, smoke detectors, HVAC units—to confirm they are functioning properly.
  • Clean HVAC filters, ice buckets, windows, and high‑touch surfaces as part of routine and deep‑cleaning tasks.
  • Change linens on every bed, inspecting bedding for cleanliness or damage, and replace towels with fresh sets.
  • Fully clean and sanitize bathrooms, including vanities, toilets, tubs, mirrors, and floors.
  • Vacuum guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces, removing debris from behind and under furniture.
  • Report any maintenance or repair concerns discovered during cleaning promptly.
  • Handle master keys and room keys securely at all times.
  • Organize and restock housekeeping carts and storage areas, empty vacuums, and remove trash to designated disposal areas.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects as scheduled.
  • Follow all safety and security procedures and immediately report hazards or concerns to management.
  • Work independently while maintaining consistent quality standards and meeting cleaning standards.
Requirements
  • Physical stamina: standing, bending, lifting, pushing carts, and using cleaning equipment throughout the shift.
  • Dependable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently while meeting cleaning standards.
  • Reliability, time management, and a professional attitude.
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience helpful but not required; training will be provided.
  • Comfortable working around stairs and handling cleaning supplies safely.
Pay & Benefits

This position starts at $13.00 per hour and offers opportunities for monthly bonuses. Benefits include bi‑weekly direct deposit, flexible scheduling, cross‑training opportunities, and potential for growth within the company.

Shifts include day and weekend availability based on hotel needs. Housekeeping start time is 9 AM.
