Position: Computer Technician II

Location: Marion City School District, District Service Center, Marion, Ohio

Contract Length: 12 months – 260 days – 2080 hours per year

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Summary: Responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting technology in the district, ensuring smooth operation of computer equipment and maximum performance and availability for users.

• Work cooperatively with building level administrators.
• Help oversee preservation of district computers and equipment.
• Work with staff to promote proper use and care of equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and test equipment and software.
• Install network wiring and connections.
• Provide technical support and training to students and staff operating hardware and software.
• Answer basic trouble calls and emails in a timely manner.
• Communicate proactively with Marion City staff members.
• Help with development and maintenance of district computer inventory.
• Assist Technology and Systems Manager with technology-based purchasing.
• Assume additional responsibility without being asked.
• Assist with all other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Experience with computer technology, installation, maintenance, and support.
• Ability to competently perform essential functions of the job.
• People skills, honesty, and work ethic.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
