Production Operator

Overview

Operation of various types of equipment in a safe and food safe manner to process raw materials into finished product. Responsible for all assigned production areas. Assist and contribute to various areas of training; become self-reliant in each area as assigned.

  1st Shift – 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM; 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM; 3rd Shift – 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Training and contributing in areas assigned.
• Become efficient in all facets of production needs. Maintain work area and promote good housekeeping to ensure safety and food safety.
• Transform raw materials into work in progress, coatings, and finished goods, based on customer specifications.
• Maintain production records in material usage, machine downtime, coordination and communication with Supervisors, Warehouse, Maintenance, Production and Quality Assurance.
• Perform all in-line testing of product.
• Responsible for slurry mixing, raw material handling, production record keeping of material and machinery usage/downtime.
• Responsible for assisting teammates during changeovers to ensure efficient and effective changeovers.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks and changeover procedures as stated in changeover forms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• FDA regulated facility
• Able to work in a fast paced, non-climate-controlled environment.
• Safety shoes and earplugs are mandatory in designated areas.
• Elevated and slippery conditions may be present.
• Must be able to utilize different technology throughout shift, or ability to be trained on equipment.
• Able to work well with co-workers and supervision in a team environment.
• Able to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Detailed oriented with extreme accuracy.
• Ability to "troubleshoot" problems with logic and apply technical knowledge.
• Must abide by all plant rules and food safety regulations, including work safety and sanitation rules.
