Manufacturing Team Lead 1st Shift

Job Details

Base Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Shift: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

• Safety: Must lead by example in this area and always ensure you have all required PPE on, no exceptions.
• Start Up: Ensure schedules are ready for all line leads and distributed to each line on what they will be starting on.
• Need to know where each line is on the schedule at all times.
• Ensure all line leads are present and on time.
• Meet with leads on your own regarding areas they need to work on and other production related topics; also handle line EE when items come up.
• New hires: Actively involved in onboarding new hires by ensuring they are teamed up with the right person; check on them throughout the shift; follow up on first day.
• Production boards: Ensure leads keep these updated; address when they are not; keep HBH numbers up to date.
• Remakes: Ensure remakes are prioritized and pushed through; investigate with lead if not done.
• Fall Outs: Leads must keep up on their own fall outs and ensure carts are complete; follow up with lead throughout the day.
• Downtime: Be proactive; keep people busy cleaning or doing other tasks during downtime.
• Production / Throughput: Help push production to meet goals; find out why lines underperform; solve problems to get lines back to MPO goals.

• Always demonstrate safety; no cutting corners.
• Hold lines accountable for high quality and CTQ guidelines.
• Make decisions independently when supervisor absent.
• Proficiently run all equipment on the production floor for the area.
• Communicate clearly with peers and subordinates.
• Maintain excellent attendance.
• Keep up communication boards every hour on line status.
• Follow directions from supervisor and pass them to leads you oversee.
• Read and understand the schedule and priorities.
• Work overtime and weekends as required.
• Have positive attitude and work with EE you oversee.
• Learn PC system and perform end-of-shift pass downs in supervisor absence.
• Can jump into lead role if necessary.

• Work with little supervision.
• Good organization and time management skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Work in fast-paced, people-oriented environment.
• Understand technical concepts.
• Read and use a tape measure.
• Good PC skills.
• Quality Insurance background desired.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desired.
• Basic understanding of 5 Why process to troubleshoot, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions desired.
