Job Details
Base pay: $17.00 per hour
1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00 am- 4:30 pm (Overtime on Friday when needed 6:00 am- 2:30 pm)
Duties and Responsibilities- The loading dock is responsible for hand loading windows and doors for outbound customer loads or internal transfers between Silver Line locations.
- Responsible for unloading windows and doors from other customer locations, moving windows from production lines to loading dock, and staging windows in proper lanes for loading.
- Complete all jobs within the staging and loading areas of the shipping department.
- Hand load windows and doors onto trailers according to manifest, abiding by quality and safety standards.
- Unload windows and doors and stage them in correct locations on dock according to quality and safety standards.
- Load or unload trailers at a rate of 150 cubic feet per hour or greater, meeting quality and safety standards.
- Utilize tugger when necessary to pull windows and doors from production lines and place carts in proper staging lanes; scan windows to correct staging lane upon delivery.
- Certified on PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) and Tuggers.
- Train new hires on all aspects of loading/unloading trailers consistent with quality and safety standards.
- Present T2 board, understanding the metrics and issues to convey to the team (and T4 group if needed).
- Troubleshoot issues that occur on the dock (MIA material, quality concerns, etc.).
- Act as backup to dock lead when required, including load audits, closing manifests, updating PvA board, and other tasks as assigned.
- Adhere to and display Cornerstone Core Values.
- Actively participate in safety culture, including adherence to STOP, CALL, WAIT, hazard recognition/elimination and completion of at least 2 BBS audits per period.
- Support departmental 5S initiatives.
- Maintain Cornerstone attendance guidelines; no written warnings.
- Minimum one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable environment.
- Minimum one year forklift operation.
- Overhead crane experience a plus.
- Ability to lift 50–75 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
