American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring EFM-NCC or AWHONN certification and 2 years of L&D experience.

Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit - Facility averages fewer than 100 births per month
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- No float requirements and no call requirements
- Travelers are first to float if floating is needed
- Epic charting system preferred
- Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and EFM-NCC or AWHONN
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Experience with high-risk and low-risk deliveries, C-sections, and fetal monitoring
- Skilled in IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation
- Provide comprehensive Labor and Delivery nursing care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including scrub and circulate roles
- Administer medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Manage high-risk conditions including pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and hemorrhage/shock
- Perform neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation
- Utilize external and internal fetal monitoring, including IUPC placement
- Maximum of 10 days RTO allowed per contract; no RTO permitted during initial weeks of assignment
- Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the Ohio Health Grant Medical Center location to qualify for travel rate
- Local candidates are welcome to apply
- Returning RNs must have a 366-day separation from Ohio Health employment before accepting a travel assignment
- PRN employees may not accept travel assignments while actively employed PRN
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Attendance policy: more than one call-off may result in termination, and no call/no show results in immediate termination
