Job Title

S.A. Comunale is hiring a Sprinkler Sales Representative to promote and sell fire sprinkler systems to General Contractor customers and end users across Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and West Virginia.

Job Summary

The role involves estimating and quoting fire sprinkler systems for commercial, institutional and industrial facilities, building new business relationships, and maintaining existing customer accounts within an assigned territory. The position requires frequent travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, select and develop new and existing customer accounts.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers to ensure satisfaction with products and services.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met and actively resolve customer problems.
  • Generate and deliver accurate sales quotes for service and any follow‑up work.
  • Qualify potential buyers of fire protection contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and using marketing strategies.
  • Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to explain company offerings.
  • Close sales to exceed sales plan objectives.
  • Read blueprints and understand NFPA 13, 14 and 20 standards and local codes.
  • Develop positive relationships with existing and new customers, general contractors, and end users.
  • Collaborate with branch personnel to ensure excellent customer service from order to delivery.
  • Perform customer surveys as requested.
  • Maintain vendor relationships.
  • Obtain necessary licensing and manufacturer certifications required for the role.
  • Schedule and execute monthly calls as assigned.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image.
  • Read architectural and mechanical drawings to determine proper sprinkler locations for new construction and remodel projects.
  • Travel to customer and job sites as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree in a technical or business discipline related to sprinkler fire suppression is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience selling service contracts in the Fire Protection industry.
  • Experience in sprinkler design, estimating, and hydraulic calculations is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, and 20 required.
  • Knowledge of industry standard practices for service and inspection required.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
