Sheetmetal Journeyman

Job Description

A Sheet Metal Journeyman and Foreman is responsible for daily work k includes all types of sheet metal. Individual should be able to read and understand blueprints, communicate effectively with all other persons on the job-site, including our sub-contractors, and represent our company in a professional manner.

Responsibilities and Duties

Able to layout and install sheet metal and/or duct systems.

• Reads blueprints and interprets specifications.
• Installs hangars or supports for systems.
• Assists with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment as necessary.
• Keeps equipment in good working order and insures proper and timely maintenance is performed on equipment.
• Follows all OSHA and TPMC standards for safety. Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean-up as needed.
• Offloading deliveries and loading truck at job sites

Qualifications and Skills

• 8 years of commercial /industrial experience.
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of general sheet metal and HVAC installation
• Working knowledge of all hand and power tools
• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity
• Basic math skills, basic computer skills, read & interpret submittals
• Ability to run multiple small crews on the same jobsite

• Ability to forecast and schedule work

• Ability to determine materials required for jobsite and order

Requirements:

As a condition of employment, all employees must furnish and utilize a smart phone with internet capability and access for daily work related time keeping purposes.
