Job Duties

The Console Operator answers and directs telephone calls and ensures that urgent calls reach their intended destination. They act as receptionists for the facility greeting visitors, family members, community providers and other guests. They direct and route them to their destination. They also serve as dispatchers and provide liaison with the institute’s security department and facilitate rapid response in the event of an emergency.

All of these tasks support the Mission, Vision and Values of the institute as well as the mission of the Clinical Services Division.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior console operation and/or receptionist experience preferred.

Benefits

These positions are hourly/wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1,500 hours in a year.
