Youth Trade School Teacher

We are seeking an Academic Instructor for our residential trade and education center.

• Plans, prepares, and delivers lessons to all students in the class according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievements of the students through effective delivery of services and expectations considering the learning styles, abilities, and goals of the students, ensures integrity is maintained with all test compliance.
• Assesses, records, and reports on the development, progress, attainment, and behavior of students, including ESP evaluations (SPERs) conducted every 60 days. Ensures that students have appropriate evaluations based on competencies and provides appropriate short, mid, and long‑term goals with each evaluation and finally ensures that the pre‑panel meeting occurs with each student.
• Ensures instructional approach supports students’ career development and placement goals, mastery of Career Success Standards, and college and career readiness. Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate Career Success Standards. Provides direct and thorough staff support for students to meet their placement/employability goals.
• Participates in the monthly curriculum committee to ensure student contextual learning and EWS activities are tailored to specific student needs.
• Maintains good housekeeping in all areas, creates an attractive and decorated classroom, and complies with safety practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree required. Must be certified to teach in the state in which the center is located (RO may waive if the center is unable to hire certified teachers, but the candidate must pursue certification). Valid state driver's license required.
