Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Marion, VA. This role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a solid driving career.
Pay & Schedule- $1500 per week with additional rewards:
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.52 – $0.55 per mile (2500–3000 miles per week)
- Solo Stops Pay: $19.05 per stop (3–7 stops per week)
- Nights out: 3–4 times per week
- Safety Bonus: $500, four times a year
- Loyalty Bonus: $1750 at 6 months and $1750 at 1 year
- Paid training and 24/7 roadside maintenance
Schedule:
Sunday – Friday. Dispatch start times: AM or PM.
- Delivery Regions: MI, WI, KS, PA, NJ, NY (no NYC), SC, NC, OH, FL, IN, KY, TN, GA
- Truck:
Sleeper tractor - Trailer types: 53' dry van, curtainside, flatbed
- Freight:
Touch – molding and building products - Load securement: strap and bungee down
- Required experience:
1 year of flatbed driving - Auto restriction cannot be accepted
- Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days
- 80 hours PTO first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it)

- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, DOT physical, and road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience: 9 months within past 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years
- Must follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check; a road test; and/or customer-specific background or badging requirements.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
