Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver. Join us at Ryder in Marion, VA.

Pay: $1650 per week. Additional pay details:

• Solo Miles Pay: $0.55 per mile with  miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $19.05 per stop with 3-7 stops per week
• Nights out: 3-4 times per week
• Safety Bonus: $500 four times a year
• Sign On Bonus: $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  Sunday - Friday
• Start Time: AM Dispatch

Driving routes include SOLO destinations to MI, WI, KS, PA, NJ, NY, SC, NC, OH, FL, IN, KY, TN, and GA. Tractor type:
Sleeper; trailer type: 53' Dry Van, Curtainside. Freight:
Touch – Molding and Building Products.

Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

We will buy your truck if you are transitioning from owner-operator to company employee driver.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass Ryder drug test.
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass DOT physical.
• Pass Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
• Class A experience: 9 months within last 3 years or 2 years within last 5 years or 5 years within last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
