Days/Afters:
Rotating shifts (5:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 11:00pm) – 45 hours per week
Salary: £24.00 per hour (Days/Afters) or £27.00 per hour (Nights)
Nights:
Monday to Friday, 10:00pm – 6:00am – 40 hours per week

Key Senior HGV Mechanic Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
* Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities
* Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT testing and ensure DVSA compliance
* Conduct safety inspections and identify defects promptly
* Accurately complete maintenance records and workshop documentation
* Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
* Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to minimise vehicle downtime
* Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and industry regulations
Required Skills & Experience
* Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience maintaining and repairing HGV trucks and trailers within a commercial vehicle environment
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
* Excellent understanding of DVSA regulations and vehicle compliance requirements
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards
* Own transport essential due to site location
