Contribute to educational programs as a YRES Fun Fair Booth Assistant in Markham, Ontario. Engage with visitors and facilitate LEGO robotics at community events to foster learning.
York Region Educational Services is seeking a passionate volunteer for a fun and impactful role at community events. This position allows you to provide hands-on support while enhancing your skills in leadership, teamwork, and communication. Volunteers can earn hours towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma while participating in flexible shifts with the YRES team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Arrive professionally and on time for events
• Greet visitors warmly at the booth
• Facilitate LEGO robotics workshops with attendees
• Assist with inventory setup and breakdown
• Provide event feedback to improve future activities
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 12 years
• Ability to arrive independently and punctually
• Passionate about volunteering and eager to learn
• Commitment to scheduled shifts
• Organized and detail-oriented to manage tasks efficiently
