Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with extensive experience in Finance Systems and the Insurance industry
, particularly in Property and Casualty (P&C). The role involves analyzing business requirements, developing functional specifications, and ensuring compliance with insurance accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document business requirements for Finance systems.
- Conduct gap analysis and develop functional specifications for system changes.
- Ensure compliance with insurance accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business processes align with IFRS
17, OFSI, GISA, and Facility Association standards. - Apply knowledge of Guidewire principles (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center) in system design.
- Work with Mainframe constructs and understand their application in Finance systems.
- Understand ETL processes and their role in data processing.
- Write and optimize SQL scripts for data extraction and analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
- Hands-on BA responsibilities: writing requirements, creating user stories, process mapping, data modeling, maintaining data dictionaries, and functional documentation.
- Use tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to communicate findings and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support problem-solving and decision-making initiatives.
Required Skills / Qualifications
- Experience: 8–10 years as a Business Analyst in Finance Systems.
- Strong understanding of insurance accounting principles and practices
. - Extensive experience in the Property & Casualty insurance domain
. - Familiarity with insurance regulations and standards
, especially IFRS
17, OFSI, GISA, and Facility Association. - Knowledge of Guidewire systems (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center).

- Proficient in SQL scripting

Desirable Skills
- Experience working on system upgrades, implementations, or integrations within insurance finance systems.
- Familiarity with reporting tools for management dashboards.
