Program Coordinator, Women in Trades

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000

Summary
The Program Coordinator will provide planning, coordination and program coordination and operational support for the Women in Trades Committee and related skills training initiatives and programs. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Women in Trades training programs to ensure the goals and objectives of the programs are achieved.

The Program Coordinator serves as a key liaison between program participants, industry partners, training providers, and internal teams, supporting the advancement of workforce development initiatives that promote opportunities for women in the skilled trades.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the planning, implementation, and delivery of Women in Trades programs and related training initiatives, ensuring alignment with program objectives, timelines, and established guidelines.

Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants and partner schools, responding to inquiries and providing ongoing support throughout the participant journey.

Prepare reports, presentations, briefing materials, correspondence, surveys, and other program-related communications.

Coordinate logistics and resource requirements to support the successful delivery of training programs, events, and committee activities.

Support program promotion and participant engagement activities in collaboration with Marketing, External Affairs, Internal Communications, and Technical Training teams.

Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, industry partners, training providers, and community organizations.

Work cross-functionally with internal departments, including marketing, external affairs, internal communications, and technical training.

Monitor program activities and collect participant feedback and performance metrics to support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Identify and upscale operational issues, risks, or barriers that may impact program execution and participant outcomes.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

College/University degree or diploma in business administration or event management, Education or related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating programs and events, training initiatives or related activities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop professional correspondence, reports, and presentations.

Excellent organizational, planning, and project coordination skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Good organization and planning skills. Project and event management experience preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Previous experience coordinating in-person events – logistics, communications, presentations, etc.
